tickled pink

(by emily)
one of my dreams is coming true... i have my first art exhibit at king's university college! and i'm not even in the country! an old bible school/king's classmate, norton mah, decided to approach kings' drama/ art professor, suggesting that he scope out my web sit (www.canvaschild.com) and think about exhibiting my paintings... bless you norton. the professor has e-mailed me and requested some of my paintings to be dropped off... the one posted here is of "The Afghan Girl" (originally featured by national geographic)... anyway, praise God. just wanted to share why i'm tickled pink... and blue and green and all the other colours splashed upon a palette :)

I'm so excited for you Em. I wish you could be here to enjoy it. I'll have to try and get over there and take some pics when its all set up for you. Are you selling them, or just exhibiting them? Along with Keith I would swirl my martini and say "buzz buzz buzz"(That's how rich people laugh.)Love you.

Happy for you, Emily! So glad your talent's getting recognized and appreciated! Even if it IS just by people with cigars and martinis... At least it's finally creating a 'buzz'! Love, Pa

Em, that is just soooo wonderful! This is only a beginning you know .. what follows will be surprises and blessings!!
I am really excited about this! What is the date for it? I am curious too as to whether one can just go there to browse, drink, smoke, and buzz,? Or can one also buy? ;o)

Love you both !

Em,

Wow, that painting seriously moved me! I think perhaps it is because R and I are very concerned about that part of the world. The women there need hope and liberation, that is my desire and prayer for them! Thanks for painting that. I covet a copy....perhaps you can have prints made?:) I am so proud of you and you go girl!!

That is so wonderful!!!! I've let my friends who still attend King's know, so that they can also "ooh" and "awww", and brag to perfect strangers, "I know the artist myself!" (or the artist's sister, as the case may be... I feel famous just knowing you =) ) I really enjoyed seeing some of your art at the auction this summer, but thankfully this time they'll have your true name!
