my cocoon

once again my husband has come through for me.
i'm the kind of person who needs a 'hide-away' spot... a cocoon of sorts, where i can listen to james blunt and tom petty, and paint. who would have thought that in our tiny korean apartment such a spot would emerge?

just beyond our patio, where we hang our laundry, sits a ladder, which climbs into a tiny attic room just big enough for a table and chair. so trenton, seeing my need, carved out my niche. he set up a computer and my paints, as well as a heating lamp (yes, korea is now in the full swing of winter -- snow is plastering the ground!) ... and there i sit and paint.

i am so thankful. spending time in my cocoon give me the strength to 'spread my wings and fly' .

You the man, Trent!
Now Em, all we need is to hook up that webcam as a live feed so all the world can see what's going on in that little hideaway... :)
Just kidding! he he.

Those little coccoons are a Godsend (and, of course so are spouses), aren't they? My wife made me build my fishroom - a little piece of heaven right in our home! :)

Enjoy your Peace Time!

That is my nephew! And why we all love him so much! Trent, what a wonderful thing to do for Em. Now I will stop, because when you go into that little hide-a-way,Trent, I want you to be able to get out again ... if you know what I mean.

Anyway, I am so thrilled for you, Em, and pray that you will have lovely times of inspiration and quiet rest with your painting and your God.

Reminds me of the song, "You're Good, Lord ...
1. Your mercy overwhelms me, more amazing every day. This kindness straight from heaven, is relentless like the waves.

2. Your mercy overtakes me, even when my feet have strayed. And though I don't deserve it, You surround me with your grace.

Chorus:
You're good Lord, You're wonderful to me. You're good Lord, So wonderful to me!"

How I love that song.

Enjoy this season in your lives and may the joy of Christ fill you to overflowing at this time of the year and always.

Love you,
Auntie D.
