son-flowers

sadness
stirs inside us
silent screams, dreams
soul-searching
breeds
serenity
slowly
secreted in the crevices of our eyes
painfully we arise
dutifully we perform
until the son-flower is born
watered by our fears and
tears
(inspired by the concern trent and i feel for our parents -- his dad and my mom -- each of whom is battling pain or disease)

oh em & trent,
I ache for you and your parents. May the "son-flower" grant you much peace and joy today. He sees your aches, screams and fears, and He loves you deeply.

I will commit this to prayer.

love, Mel

Of course, my thoughts are with you. I am saddened by these beautiful words you have let us read.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

May you feel His rod and staff of comfort, even in the midst of darkness.

This is so powerful and sad, yet it breathes peace.

hello my beautiful poet friend,

It is hard to be so far away from those that are struggling with sickness and hardship. I'm so thankful for the connection of the Spirit with tranquility and peace when nothing else makes sense. I pray that in this rawness a song will fill you with hope.

Love you my friend,

Sacha
